The article compares the competitive procedure for the appointment to a civil service under the current legislation and its changes related to the introduction of a centralized and decentralized stage of the competition, which are to enter into force in January 2018. The new regulatory framework for conducting competitions for the appointment to a civil service is aimed at creating conditions for improving the objectivity and quality of the selection, as the selection of the persons is also one of the most important problems of the civil service.
